Back-to-School Support for Somerville Students
As we reflect on the changing of the seasons and the start of a new school year, we’re filled with gratitude for our compassionate community. Second Chances was thrilled to participate in Somerville Housing Authority’s back-to-school backpack event, where we provided nearly 400 pairs of socks, underwear, and t-shirts to children facing clothing insecurity. We also dropped off several bags of new undergarments to Somerville Public Schools, ensuring our young learners can step into the classroom with confidence and dignity.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors and partners, including Cocotree Kids and Bombas, for supporting our young neighbors during back-to-school season and all year long. Thank you! You can make a difference in the lives of neighbors of all ages by donating gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories at our local clothing drives and donation bins.
