Celebrating 20 Years
Impact

Our compassionate community made May 2025 Second Chances’ biggest month of clothing donations ever, with 37,409 pounds of clothes, shoes, and accessories reused and recycled—10% more than our second biggest month!

To put it into perspective, 37,409 pounds is what ~3.5 fully grown African bush elephants weigh!

We credit this incredible milestone to generous donors, new donation bins, new bin locations, Earth Day clothing drives, and the Boston area’s second biggest moving week.

For 20 years, Second Chances, alongside our donors and community partners, has used the clothing you no longer need, repurposing it to remove barriers to success, empower communities, and protect the planet—one piece of clothing at a time. We’ve proudly reused and recycled more than 3.2 million pounds of clothing and textiles, minimizing the amount of apparel going into local landfills or overseas.

Thank you for making this possible!
