We are so grateful for the support Second Chances has received from our generous community throughout the past year. Thanks to your clothing donations and financial contributions, we were able to deliver nearly 8,000 items of clothing to people in need in our community! You made it possible to provide hundreds of bundles of carefully-selected clothing to empower our neighbors, and your kindness consistently filled the clothing rooms and closets at our provider partners' program spaces so their clients could choose apparel they truly wanted and needed.

Together, we’ve made sure that each person who received clothing felt empowered, welcomed, and valued. Thank you for investing in the power of community, enabling our neighbors to overcome challenges and move forward!

2025 Marks Second Chances’ 20th Anniversary

This year is a major milestone for Second Chances, and we’re excited to celebrate it with all of you throughout the year!

Second Chances started when our founder, Andrea, was consulting with nonprofit clients and saw donations of clothing and other items that were waiting for the right match with someone in need. With a background in retail plus two generations of family members who worked in the clothing and textiles industries, Andrea saw the potential to make a difference through collaboration and specialization. In 2005, Second Chances began working with three nonprofit partners and 100% volunteer labor, delivering clothing to 50 people.

Today, we’ve supported more than 6,500 neighbors with carefully-selected bundles of clothing, shoes, and accessories. We’ve consistently supplied clothing to six provider partners for their clothing supply rooms and free clothing events, distributed nearly 15,000 pairs of new socks and underwear, and reused and recycled 3,100,000+ pounds of clothing and textiles.

Meet Sarah, Our Newest Team Member

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Bernabei to the Second Chances team! Sarah joined us in December 2024 as a Program & Special Projects Associate. She brings her valuable experience in Customer Operations and Project Management, as well as work in the real estate and home organizing fields. Sarah is passionate about helping others and has volunteered with numerous local organizations and schools. We are thrilled to have her on board!
