We're so excited to be partnering with Patagonia Cambridge and Homme Repair to promote sustainability through clothing repair while supporting folks in our community.

There will be free small repairs, refreshments, and more!

Repairs include small patches, buttons, rips, loose stitching, quick hems, and snap replacement and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited to one clothing repair per person. We hope to see you there!

PUBLIC CLOTHING DRIVES

Are you still spring cleaning? Please consider donating clothing, shoes, and wearable accessories you no longer need at one of the public clothing drives below and give your clothing a second life while diverting textiles from landfill.

INTERN APPRECIATION

This semester, we've been fortunate to have two terrific interns working with Second Chances on projects including supporting our partners and their clients with clothing, testing our new data collection and monitoring tools, as well as helping with grant writing, marketing, and social media.

Claire is graduating from Tufts University in May with a BA in Community Health. She's following her interest in clothing and costume design to Parsons, where she'll be working toward an MFA in Fashion Design & Society.

Stefanie is graduating from Boston University, having completed both an MSW and an MPH during her time at BU. She's returning to Arizona to work in healthcare consulting.

Please join us in wishing Claire and Stefanie all the best! We're grateful to them both for working with us this semester.

Second Chances is the only program in our community providing free and empowering clothing, shoes, and accessories to 500+ homeless and lower-income women, men, and children annually; distributing more than 4,000 pairs of new socks and underwear; and recycling and reusing more than 300,000 pounds of textiles each year.
