Second Chances - Clothing connecting community

This Giving Tuesday - the Tuesday after Thanksgiving - we'll be giving extra thanks for our

generous and compassionate community.

Giving thanks for our provider partners

More than 20 housing, shelter, human services organizations, and community meals make it possible for Second Chances - with only three staff members - to reach 600+ neighbors in need with clothing bundles and distribute nearly 3,000 pairs of new socks and underwear each year. We are deeply grateful for each of the social workers, advocates, outreach staff, shelter coordinators, and volunteers who connect homeless and low-income community members with essential clothing to ensure they are safe, warm, and empowered.

Giving thanks for our clothing donors, clothing drive hosts, volunteers, and in-kind donors

Each year, Second Chances recycles and reuses more than 300,000 pounds of clothing, shoes, and accessories donated by hundreds of members of our community. We are thankful for each of you who carefully cleans out closets and drawers, coordinates a clothing drive, volunteers your time and talent, and donates new retail and wholesale items.

Giving thanks for our sponsors and supporters

Over the past five years, Second Chances has been able to grow and reach even more people in need. Since 2018, we've tripled the number of people we're serving, bolstered by generous financial support from our sponsors and supporters. Thank you for believing in the power of community and for improving our neighbors' chances of overcoming challenges.
