Since 2005, Second Chances has worked with members of our community to deliver free clothing, shoes, and accessories and improve the wellbeing of neighbors who are experiencing poverty, housing instability, health issues, and other challenges. Each year, we've been able to grow and support more people in need thanks to our generous and compassionate community! Thank you.
One of our nonprofit partners at Vinfen kindly shared some clients' experiences of receiving clothing from Second Chances:
"Clothing from Second Chances has been incredibly helpful to many of our clients. Folks are able to wear the clothing to important appointments and meetings. Having new clothes that fit well also improves our clients’ confidence. One individual who recently received new clothes from Second Chances, left the house for the first time in several months to go to the library. Her depression had been getting in the way of her getting out, but with the new clothing she was feeling confident and able to get out!"
We're grateful to be able to play a role in so many new beginnings and brighter days. Thank you for improving people's wellbeing by working with Second Chances. |

In the past three months, our community donated 82,895 pounds of clothing through 11 clothing drives and our 8 donation bins. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to deliver empowering clothing, shoes, and accessories to 137 neighbors in addition to 1,185 pairs of new socks and underwear since April 1st.
This year, we're on track to serve 63% more people than last year, and last year was a record-breaking year as well. We're delivering twice as many items of clothing to each person we serve, because the cost of clothing and shoes has continued to increase and our clients are managing extremely tight budgets. We are grateful to our nonprofit partners, community members, clothing drive and donation bin hosts, and generous donors for caring so deeply about our neighbors. Thank you. |
